WHEDA Appoints JoAnna Vanderpoel as Chief People Officer to Drive “People First” Culture
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) has named JoAnna Vanderpoel as Chief People Officer (CPO). She brings more than 25 years of human resources leadership, with a focus on improving employee and customer experiences in financial services, commercial real estate, and consumer products.
As CPO, Vanderpoel will lead human resources strategy, focusing on talent acquisition and employee engagement to support WHEDA’s statewide affordable housing initiatives. She will work with leadership to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing, mission-driven workforce.
“As WHEDA doubles down on our commitment to ensure everyone in Wisconsin has a safe, affordable place to call home, building an effective organization and giving our people the tools and resources to thrive is one of our highest priorities,” said Elmer Moore, Jr., CEO & Executive Director at WHEDA. “We’re thrilled to welcome JoAnna to the executive team. Her leadership and success in developing high-performing staff will be instrumental for putting people first as we advance our mission.”
