Wellpoint Care Network to Host 3rd Annual ‘Diapers for Dads’ Distribution Event
MILWAUKEE — Wellpoint Care Network, a community-facing human services organization based in Milwaukee, has partnered with the Milwaukee Diaper Mission to host our 3rd annual ‘Diapers for Dads’ distribution event.
It will take place on Friday, December 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wellpoint Care Network (8901 W. Capitol Dr). As our organization celebrates 175 years of service and impact, our goal for this event is to distribute 17,500 diapers and supply 175 dads with 100 diapers each.“This year’s event will also include wipes, toys, and plenty of community resources focused on empowering fathers,” said Andrew Bonner, Community Partnerships and Volunteer Coordinator at Wellpoint Care Network. “It’s more than just giving out essentials; it’s about connecting dads with the tools and support they need year-round.”
“Diapers for Dads is a living expression of our Five Pillars of Stability — Employment, Education, Housing, Health and Caring Connections,” added Reggie Newson, Wellpoint Care Network President & CEO. “Men and fathers have played vital roles in family and community life, yet many don’t seek out the support they need. At Wellpoint Care, we want to support and empower fathers by breaking down stigmas and encouraging open conversations about trauma, stress, and healing.”
The event is free and open to the public. All fathers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please note diapers, wipes, and toys will be distributed while supplies last.
