We Locked In MKE sleepover event this weekend aiming to help city teens
Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II is inviting the community to allow teens to spend a night ‘locked in’ this weekend to experience safety, wellbeing and personal growth.
There will also be free food and prizes at the event.
The event will take place at 3248 W. Brown St. (Dream Team United MKE site). It will start at 8 p.m. tomorrow – Saturday (9/17) – and end at 7 a.m. on Sunday (9/18). ALL participants must pre-register here to be allowed to attend the session, and each participant must have a parent or guardian sign them in upon arrival.
Alderman Stamper said no one over 17 or not registered will be allowed in during the session, and security will be strictly enforced.
“Running the streets leads to trouble for most teens in Milwaukee, and We Locked In MKE is offering this tremendous opportunity to help teens while also helping to curb violence in our city, and offering an avenue to get our youth and city back on track,” the alderman said. “I strongly encourage parents and teens to get registered for this unique event.”
