The Marquette University women’s basketball team continued BIG EAST play with an 82-72 win over DePaul on Saturday at the Al McGuire Center.

The Golden Eagles (17-8, 9-5 BIG EAST) were led by Skylar Forbes, who had a career-high 26 points and nine rebounds. Olivia Porter had a career-high 18 points and was 9-of-10 from the free throw line.

Jaidynn Mason added 13 points, a career-high nine rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Marquette trailed after the first for just the fifth time this season. DePaul had its largest lead at eight points at the 5:05 mark of the second quarter before MU went on an 8-0 run to tie it at 31-31 with 3:18 remaining in the half.

The Golden Eagles outscored the Blue Demons 26-19 in the second quarter. Skylar Forbes had 19 points at half, tied for the most points by an MU player at half this season. Lee Volker had 19 at halftime against Milwaukee on Dec. 15, 2024.

Down by one headed into the fourth, Marquette won the final frame 24-13, in large part due to an 11-1 run over two and a half minutes halfway through the quarter. Jaidynn Mason had six of MU’s 11 points in that span.

Marquette led by as many as 12 in the fourth quarter and shot 70% over the final ten minutes.

DePaul (12-16, 7-8 BIG EAST) was led by Jorie Allen, who had 22 points and four rebounds.
