Washington Park Wednesdays Announces 2026 Summer Concerts
Milwaukee, WI — This summer, Washington Park Wednesdays returns as more than a concert series—it’s a unique weekly celebration designed to bring people together, restore connection, and contribute to community development through shared experience. Celebrating Wednesdays at the Washington Park Bandshell from July 8 through August 26, WPW continues to evolve as a platform for workforce development, accessibility, and neighborhood connection, offering a deeper story beyond the stage. Youth Training
Through an ongoing collaboration with The New State, young creatives gain hands-on experience in live production, sound engineering, and artist management—playing an active role in producing weekly events.
Free Meals for Kids
WPW continues its partnership with the Center for Independence, ensuring that youth and families have access to free meals at each event.
American Sign Language
Washington Park Wednesdays remains the only free concert series in Milwaukee to offer ASL interpretation at every performance, reinforcing a commitment to accessibility that is built into every show.
Arts Engagement
Free art supplies will be given away during our signature Live! Art Night on August 5th.
At a time when public gathering spaces can feel uncertain, WPW is working alongside city and county partners to prioritize safe, welcoming, and well-supported events—demonstrating how thoughtful programming can create meaningful, shared experiences.

- July 8 – Venus Rising (Femme-forward)
Ladies Must Swing & Ellie Jackson
A powerful opening night celebrating women in music, featuring swing-era revival and soulful contemporary vocals. - July 15 – Ride On (Bike-safety & fun in partnership with Bubbler Bikes)
Vincent Van Great + Amanda Huff with The Art of 3
High-energy hip hop and genre-blending soul set the tone for a night centered on movement, community, and cycling culture. - July 22 – Cool School (Jazz, blues, funk)
Troubadours of Rhythm and Minor Worries
A laid-back, groove-heavy evening highlighting Milwaukee’s deep bench of jazz, blues, and funk talent. - July 29 – Viva (Latin music celebration)
Orquestra Rumba + Orquestra Rumba Trio
A vibrant, dance-filled night of Latin rhythms and percussion-driven performance. - August 5 – Live Art (Community Arts & Funk Festival collaboration)
Stephen Hull Experience with Cameron Webb
An immersive night where live music and visual art intersect, anchored by funk-forward performances. - August 12 – Carnival at the Shell (Circus entertainment)
Los Mitoteros with The Hot Swing Trio
A playful, family-friendly evening blending global sounds with circus arts and swing. - August 19 – Back to School (A celebration of the end of summer)
Ben Mulwana & The Village with The New Gray
A soulful sendoff to summer with uplifting indie, folk, and rock influences. - August 26 – Planet to Park (Environmental focus)
Gnarrenschiff and Maximiano
A genre-bending finale rooted in global sounds and environmental awareness, closing the season with intention and energy.
Each evening takes place at the Washington Park Bandshell, with performances running from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, featuring both opener and headliner sets.
Beyond the Bandshell: A Second Stage + Community Activation
In addition to the main stage, WPW’s second stage activates the park with dance, performance, and interactive arts—inviting local performing arts groups and community-based organizations to engage directly with audiences. This expanded format creates a more immersive experience, where audiences don’t just watch—they participate.

Washington Park Wednesdays is a free summer concert series at Milwaukee’s Washington Park coordinated through Washington Park Neighbors. Since 2019, the eight-week lineup has brought together musicians, food trucks, community groups, and more to entertain and engage the diverse neighborhoods surrounding the park. Hungry kids and families enjoy free meals, art projects, and entertainment in this inclusive and inviting environment.
