VISIT Milwaukee Communications Staffers Elected to Leadership Positions in Local PRSA

They will work with communicators across the region to promote and enhance the profession

MILWAUKEE — (Dec. 19, 2019) VISIT Milwaukee announced today that Claire Koenig, Lindsey McKee and Emily Tau have been elected to leadership positions in the Public Relations Society of America Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter. All three serve on VISIT Milwaukee’s communications team.

“I’m very proud the work these women have done to elevate Milwaukee’s brand among leisure and meetings media, and make Milwaukee a top destination for meetings, events, and vacations,” said VISIT Milwaukee President and CEO Peggy Williams-Smith. “Their involvement in the local PRSA chapter, and the work they’ll be doing with professionals across the region, speaks to their skills as communicators and will be vital in raising awareness of what VISIT Milwaukee does for the benefit of our larger community.”

As chapter officers, Claire Koenig, communications manager, will serve as a director-at-large to spearhead the chapter’s community service initiatives. Lindsey McKee, communications manager, will serve as at the chapter’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee Chair. Emily Tau, communications coordinator, will serve as a director-at-large and focus on planning the chapter’s largest annual event.

Founded in 1951, Public Relations Society of America Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter is currently comprised of roughly 300 communications professionals who represent corporations, nonprofits, agencies and public entities. Public Relations Society of America is the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community.
