Vipond Campaign: ‘Opioids: Clear & Present Danger’ in Race to Replace Sensenbrenner
Vipond for Congress Issues New Video Calling for Opioids Action: https://vimeo.com/282691512
BROOKFIELD, WIS. (August 1, 2018) – Dr. Jennifer Hoppe Vipond, Republican candidate for Wisconsin’s Fifth Congressional District, released a new campaign video as part of her “Prescription for Change” leading up to the August 14 GOP primary. The video is called ‘Opioids: Clear & Present Danger‘
“Opioid abuse is killing our children, destroying our families and threatening our first responders and our economy,” Dr. Vipond says. “We need bold reforms now. We cannot wait for Congressman Sensenbrenner to retire. Which is why I’m running for Wisconsin’s Fifth Congressional District, Tuesday, August 14 in the Republican primary to replace Rep. Sensenbrenner.”
“The ‘Ensuring Patient Access and Drug Enforcement Act of 2015,’ for example, supported by pharmaceutical companies and coincidentally passed unanimously by Congress, worsened the crisis and allowed huge shipments of pain pills to flood small town America,” she adds. “Bills that offer hope are grossly underfunded. Clearly we need an experienced physician rather than special-interest-funded lawyers to address this problem.”
Dr. Jennifer Hoppe Vipond was born and raised in Wisconsin’s fifth district, and has practiced as a pediatrician in Waukesha country for over 25 years. She has spent the majority of her life in Wisconsin’s fifth district, where she and her husband, Mark, raised six children while she maintained a full time medical practice. Dr. Vipond has taken a common sense approach to medicine, which has garnered her a loyal following of families who admire Dr. Vipond for her intelligent, caring, and no-nonsense approach to patient care.
