MADISON, Wis. (April 1, 2026) — The first Pewaukee-based UW Credit Union branch opens on April 6 at 1267 Capitol Dr. The new branch joins a strong retail corridor and offers a full range of consumer banking services. In addition to savings, checking, lending and retirement solutions, members will have access to an in-branch mortgage loan officer.
Pewaukee is part of the credit union’s growing roster of Milwaukee-area suburbs, with continued expansion west. The credit union will now operate five branches in Waukesha County. Other Waukesha County branches are in Oconomowoc, Elm Grove, New Berlin and Waukesha (Moreland Boulevard). Additional Waukesha branches are planned at 1808 Silvernail Rd. (Spring 2027) and at 1023 Spring City Dr. (late 2028).
“We meet members where they are, and Lake Country is filled with vibrant communities that appeal to members of all ages,” said Milwaukee Senior Director of Member Sales & Service Fe Johnson. “Our growth centers on the simple truism that we do well by doing right. We can’t wait to pay that success forward and put our incredible member value in perspective for Pewaukee.”
Over the past five years, UW Credit Union has significantly enhanced its value offerings for members. It currently boasts an impressive $5 overdraft cap, no minimum balance or monthly fees on its Rewards Checking account, Early Payday, and a Cash Back Bonus on all credit card types. The credit union also remains invested in free financial education resources that build economic mobility.
The Pewaukee grand opening coincides with America Saves Week and the return of baseball season. As the Presenting Sponsor of Milwaukee Brewers™ Baseball, the credit union will host a celebratory “Welcome Week” at the new branch April 13-18 with chances to win Brewers™ tickets. Community members are invited to check out the new space, meet the branch team and pick up a mystery gift card. Two hundred free gift cards from area businesses will be available, including American Family Field concession cards. Additionally, visitors can enjoy daily treats, special product offers and free Brewers™ swag. This includes a free cinnamon roll from Simply Cinnamon Bakery, while supplies last. For a full schedule of Welcome Week activities and giveaways, visit uwcu.org/pewaukee.
