MADISON, Wis.—Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman issued this statement today regarding Gov. Evers’ announcement:

“Gov. Evers has been a champion of public higher education his entire career because he understands it changes lives, improves communities, and grows the workforce. His service on the UW Board of Regents was exemplary. I thank Gov. Evers for his career in public service, especially his dedication to education and to advocacy on behalf of the Universities of Wisconsin.”
