United Rural Democrats Endorses Sarah Godlewski for U.S. Senate

MADISON – Today, State Treasurer and candidate for U.S. Senate Sarah Godlewski was endorsed by United Rural Democrats. Touting Sarah’s commitment to taking on tough fights and being laser-focused on the kitchen table issues that matter most to rural Wisconsin, the organization joined No Dem Left Behind as Godlewski continues to build a strong operation ready to deliver in rural communities Democrats too often overlook.   In her successful 2018 campaign for State Treasurer, Sarah outperformed Democrats across Wisconsin – winning back small towns and flipping nine counties that Trump won in 2016.

“We are thrilled to endorse Sarah Godlewski for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin,” said United Rural Democrats President Joe Shepherd. “Sarah has a track record of showing up, listening, and doing the work for all Wisconsin. Rural America is the backbone of our country, but all too often, they are ignored by Washington politicians like Ron Johnson. With Sarah in the Senate, rural Wisconsin will have a fighter who’s not afraid to put in a little elbow grease to get the job done.”    United Rural Democrats is a coalition of over 600 county parties in over 40 states focused on supporting candidates who are committed to creating a system that cuts rural America in on the deal.

The endorsement from United Rural Democrats adds to a long list of leaders and groups supporting Sarah’s campaign. More than 50 current and former and Wisconsin elected officials and community leaders have publicly endorsed Sarah, and she has the backing of EMILY’s List, No Dem Left Behind, VoteMama, and Democrats Serve.
