Two-year-old boy shot near 38th and Lloyd

Statement of Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II September 21, 2020

A two-year-old boy was injured in a shooting that occurred on Saturday, September 19th near N. 38th and W. Lloyd Streets in the 15th District.

Milwaukee Police took and a man and a woman into custody in connection with the shooting, and the boy is reportedly in critical condition. My prayers are with the boy and his loved ones at this sad and difficult time.

I do not know the full details of what occurred, but I do know that innocent, small children do not deserve to be shot or injured in any way in any neighborhood of our city. We must strive to control our emotions and behavior, and we must always realize that violence is NEVER the answer.
