Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Bring Their 40th Anniversary Tour to the Marcus Ampitheater at Summerfest’s 50th

December 9, 2016— Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, one of the most iconic bands in American music history,have announced the first dates of their 40th Anniversary Tour, which includes two shows, Wednesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 6, at the Marcus Amphitheater for Summerfest’s 50th celebration. Chris Stapleton will appear as a very special guest.
Tom Petty announced the tour on SiriusXM’s “Tom Petty Radio” this morning and also on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last night, https://youtu.be/F0hlNM-oj4s. The primarily U.S. tour will begin on April 20, 2017 in Oklahoma City and continue throughout the summer with dates on the west coast still to be announced.
Tickets for both shows on Wednesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 6 at the Marcus Amphitheater will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 16 at 10:00 AM CST and include Summerfest admission.
