The Draft Patio sets open date at Public Market
The temporary offering will be located on the public market’s sidewalk space along St Paul Avenue this summer.
Milwaukee, WI: The Draft Patio, the recently announced beer truck patio partnership with the Milwaukee Public Market and Draft & Vessel, will open for business on Friday, June 28 at 12:00 p.m., the public market announced today. The temporary offering will be located on the public market’s sidewalk space along St Paul Avenue this summer.
The patio will feature a 1941 Ford pickup truck that includes eight draft lines which will offer a selection of Milwaukee area, self-distributed craft breweries – and one craft cocktail – which are not on tap inside the public market. The truck will also serve a few non-alcoholic draft beverages. The initial draft list includes beers from Gathering Place, Vennture Brew Company, Enlightened Brewing Company, Explorium, as well as a Twisted Path Distillery craft cocktail, Rishi Tea, Nessalla Kombucha, and Potosi Root Beer. The truck will also rotate in cold brew coffee from Anodyne Coffee.
The Draft Patio’s hours of operation will be as follows:
Thursday: 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Friday: 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am to 8:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am to 6:00pm
(The above hours of operation are weather dependent.)
The custom designed gathering area, designed by Draft & Vessel owner Nathaniel Davauer, is made primarily out of white oak and was constructed by local artists Nicholas Hardrath and Brandon Minga. The goal with the patio was to create a social space that used a design language that complimented the public market’s design, according to Davauer. The gathering area will be open for seating to customers of the public market throughout the week during regular market operating hours.
