MILWAUKEE, WI – The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant, Lake Country’s premier fine dining, event, and social destination, has updated its inaugural menu with a selection of refined in-season dishes showcasing timeless classics complemented by the picturesque beauty of Lake Country. In addition to its fine dining offerings, The Commodore dining experience now also includes a selection of daily specials, a table d’hôte menu, bar menu, and an all-new Sunday brunch menu. The restaurant has also extended its hours and days of service to 4:30 p.m. through 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

“When we opened The Commodore in July of this year, we started with an incredible menu that embodies the lakeside lifestyle – refined yet relaxed,” says The Bartolotta Restaurants Owner and Co-Founder Chef Paul Bartolotta. “We are excited to expand our offerings and introduce new dishes with fresh ingredients that reflect the season, while providing our guests with new options that include daily specials, and a multi-course table d’hôte menu.”

Among the sure-to-become favorite dishes on The Commodore’s menu are the Hand-Cut Steak Tartare made from prime filet of beef with crispy potatoes and endive spears; Beverly’s Curried Shrimp & Crab Bisque, a recipe honoring the legacy of the matriarch of the Bartolotta family; Oysters Rockefeller with creamed spinach, Pernod and bacon breadcrumbs; a 28-Day Dry-Aged Bone-In Ribeye, grilled and served with caramelized trumpet royale mushrooms, braised cipollini onions, and sauce Bordelaise; Wiener Schnitzel, a breaded veal loin with roasted apples, apple cider-braised cabbage and veal sauce, paying homage to the legendary Jack Weissgerber; and Beef Wellington made from a 16-ounce prime, center-cut filet mignon, baked in puff pastry with mushroom duxelles, black truffle sauce périgourdin, pomme Anna, and creamed spinach.

The table d’hôte menu includes a daily rotation of main dish selections including Veal Marsala, Short Rib Pot Roast, Beef Stroganoff with Buttered Noodles, Nantucket Fried Seafood Basket, Prime Rib with Yorkshire Pudding, and British Sunday Roasts.

For those who prefer to take in the picturesque views from The Commodore’s bar, a special menu has been designed including snacks and nibbles, appetizers, and dishes such as The Commodore Burger with an eight-ounce ground beef patty, Hill Valley Shallot and Herb Cheese, “Everything” Mayo, a Brioche Bun and Herb Fries.

The Commodore will also debut its all-new, three-course Sunday Brunch on December 1 from 10 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. The menu features, among other dishes, Schnitzel with Fried Egg and arugula salad and Dried Fruit Brioche French Toast with maple and bourbon poached pears, Chantilly cream, and Wisconsin maple syrup.

“When designing these menus, we took immense care to incorporate inspiration from the legends that came before us, paying homage to great chefs and restaurateurs from around the world, as well as right here in Lake Country,” says Chef Bartolotta. “It was imperative that we highlight the incredible bounty of ingredients found here in Wisconsin, including artisanal cheeses and dairy products, produce from local farmers, and more.”

The complete menu can be viewed here.
