Milwaukee, WI —The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation will host the 2026 Lombardi Golf Classic on June 5 and 6, a two-day event bringing together Wisconsin sports legends, community leaders and businesses to raise funds for cancer research, prevention and patient care.

The Foundation will welcome participants to the Wisconsin Country Club and The Pfister Hotel for its signature fundraising event, now celebrating its 55th year as one of southeastern Wisconsin’s premier summer traditions.

The weekend will begin on Friday, June 5, with a practice round at the Wisconsin Country Club followed by the Golf Gala at The Pfister Hotel, where attendees will enjoy a hosted cocktail reception and gourmet dinner, plus the opportunity to meet celebrity athletes throughout the night. The evening’s program will feature grant recipients who are advancing cancer research and patient care and a live and silent auction, with emcee Greg Matzek of WTMJ Radio.

The Lombardi Golf Classic continues Saturday, June 6, with a celebrity golf tournament where participants are paired with current and former professional athletes for an 18-hole experience.

The 2026 event features recognizable athletes with deep ties to Wisconsin sports, including Jared Abbrederis, former Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger wide receiver; Lynn Dickey, former Green Bay Packers quarterback; Ryan Longwell, former Packers Pro Bowl kicker; Jonathan Lucroy, former Milwaukee Brewers All-Star catcher; and Derek Watt, NFL fullback and Wisconsin native. Their presence reinforces the event’s unique connection to local fans and the region’s professional sports legacy. “The Lombardi Golf Classic has been an important tradition in Wisconsin for more than five decades,” said Ann Marie Moss, Executive Director of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. “This event not only celebrates the legacy of Coach Lombardi, but also brings our community together to support families impacted by cancer and to advance research that will save lives.”

Funds raised from the Lombardi Golf Classic directly support cancer research and patient care initiatives, many of which impact individuals and families across Wisconsin. The event continues to serve as a meaningful platform where sports, philanthropy and community intersect.

Members of the media are invited to attend both the Golf Classic and the Golf Gala. Opportunities include interviewing celebrity participants, filming tournament play, capturing gala programming and speaking with Foundation leadership and supporters. Executive Director Ann Marie Moss is available for interviews in advance of and during the event.
