MILWAUKEE – May 13, 2025 – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®), a leading provider of high-speed internet, TV, and voice services, is partnering with Milwaukee-based Digital Bridge to support environmentally responsible e-waste recycling and help expand access to technology for underserved communities.

Through this collaboration, TDS Telecom and parent company TDS Inc. will donate retired technology from its operations across the country to Digital Bridge, which securely sanitizes, refurbishes, and redistributes computers and devices at no cost to TDS or the recipients. The refurbished equipment is then provided to individuals, schools, and nonprofit organizations in need, helping bridge the gap in access to essential digital tools.

“Giving back is an essential part of TDS’ culture. We’re proud to help communities thrive and create a more sustainable future,” said Drew Petersen, TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “This partnership allows us to extend the life of our technology in a way that aligns with our values and creates real opportunity for people and organizations in need.”

For TDS, the partnership provides a secure, sustainable solution for managing retired technology assets while reinforcing the company’s commitment to community investment. For Digital Bridge, the expanded volume of donated equipment will support its mission to connect more people with the tools they need to learn, work, and reach their potential.

“This is a powerful alignment of purpose,” said Michael Regione, Director of Sales, Marketing, and Client Success at Digital Bridge. “Together with TDS, we’re reducing e-waste and increasing access to technology where needed most. It’s a partnership rooted in action and impact.”

Digital Bridge is one of the nation’s top nonprofit e-waste recyclers. The organization is NAID AAA certified and a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher, ensuring the highest standards in data security and device refurbishment. Its free services help institutions of all sizes divert electronics from landfills while giving them a second life in the hands of people who need them most.

The TDS-Digital Bridge partnership launches this spring with device donations from multiple TDS locations and will continue to evolve with opportunities for employee engagement, volunteerism, and shared community outreach.
