Suspect Criminally Charged in Connection to a Homicide

MILWAUKEE, WI – Monday, October 24, 2022, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal charges against Benjamin N. Garrett in connection to a homicide that fatally injured a 12-year-old girl. The shooting occurred on Monday, October 10, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., on the 5300 block of N. 37th Street.

Garrett was charged with one count of First Degree Reckless Homicide – Party to a Crime and one count of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety – Party to a Crime. If convicted, he could face up to 72 years, 6 months in prison and could be fined up to $25,000.
