Supervisor Jack Eckblad Applauds Partnership Between Milwaukee County and Red Cross in Holler Park Neighborhood
This partnership in Holler Park is helping neighbors house and care for neighbors from across Milwaukee County displaced by fire.
MILWAUKEE – Supervisor Jack Eckblad visited the Holler Park Emergency Shelter this morning to speak with Milwaukee residents displaced by the apartment fire on May 11th at 27th St. and Highland Ave, as well as meet with team members from the American Red Cross of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management.
“As hard as this situation is,” Supervisor Eckblad said, “The partnership between the Red Cross and Milwaukee County is enabling neighbors to care for and house their neighbors in crisis. County Executive David Crowley correctly says that partnerships are the future of how things get done in Milwaukee County, and the amazing work of the teams at Milwaukee County and the Red Cross are making this a blueprint for other partnerships.”
