MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin Conservation Voices supports the appointment of Claire Woodall-Vogg to the Milwaukee Elections Commission.

Civic Engagement Director Anjali Bhasin had this to say:

“The executive director of the Milwaukee Elections Commission plays a critical role in ensuring the residents of Milwaukee have fair access to the ballot.

With the upcoming August and November elections it is more important than ever that an executive director of the Milwaukee Elections Commission role be filled by a strong leader. We are confident in the skills and experience that Claire Woodall-Vogg will bring to the role. We urge the Common Council and the Mayor’s office to confirm Claire Woodall-Vogg’s appointment in a timely manner to ensure that the residents of Milwaukee are able to exercise their right to vote in August and November.

The April 7 election provided dramatic evidence that strong leadership is required immediately to ensure every resident in Milwaukee can safely exercise their most fundamental right. We believe Claire Woodall-Vogg will provide that leadership.”
