Milwaukee – Aisha Carr has received endorsements from member of the Wisconsin State Assembly LaKeshia Myers and MPS parent Shyla Deacon. Regarding their endorsements, they highlight Aisha’s commitment to young people and willingness to meet with voters.

Deacon stated, “We need leaders on the board that have a reputation of putting students first, which is why I’m voting for Aisha Carr to be our next school board director for district 4. Our children need the best!”

Speaking about her endorsement, LaKeshia Myers said, “Milwaukee students deserve a board member who is willing to think critically, listen intently, and operate with their best interests in mind. Aisha Carr is that candidate. As a former MPS teacher and a parent, Aisha understands the internal needs of the district and how best to aid our students. Aisha Carr is unbought and unbossed; an independent thinker, and would be a breath of fresh air to the school board.”

In addition to Myers and Deacon, Aisha has received endorsements from 18th District State Assembly Representative Evan Goyke, Milwaukee City Attorney Tearman Spencer, Chair of the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County Chris Walton and member of the Wisconsin State Assembly David Bowen.

The general election for MPS District 4 will be held on April 6.
