St Paul Fish to Open Beach Bar Saturday at Public Market
Roughly 9000 pounds of sand will be laid down to cover the existing floor space around bar.
Milwaukee, WISC – In response to back-to-back spring snow storms in less than five days, St Paul Fish Company, the popular seafood merchant at the Milwaukee Public Market, announced today their plans to celebrate the balmy 50-degree temperatures expected this weekend with a one-day Beach Bar Party on Saturday, April 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at their outdoor palapa bar area.
“It’s time to dust off that beachwear, put on some sunscreen, sink their toes in the sand and bask in the warm April air,” said Patrick Nedobeck of St Paul Fish Company. “If anything, it gives us an opportunity to show Mother Nature she can only keep us inside for so long.”
Roughly 9000 pounds of sand will be laid down to cover the existing floor space around bar, said Nedobeck. The first 100 customers at the beach bar will receive a free Hawaiian lei. A contest for the best beach attire will take place between 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. where the winner will receive a $100 gift card to St Paul Fish. Red Stripe beer will be sold for $2 all day. A reggae DJ will play beach appropriate music from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
General market operating hours for Saturday are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Public market customers enjoy a free hour of parking with a purchase and validation in the surface lot adjacent to the market building at 400 North Water Street.
