St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday at Noon; Fun Continues at the Post-Parade Party
Keep the fun going after the Parade at the Shamrock Club Post-Parade Party
MILWAUKEE – Today at noon, the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin and Westown Association are proud to bring you the 57th Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Day Parade, presented by Miller Lite. The Parade steps off on West Wisconsin Ave. at North Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr., and travels through downtown’s entertainment districts before ending on Water St. at Highland Ave. The Parade features over 100 units including Irish dance performances, pipe and drum groups, festive floats and more.
“The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of Milwaukee’s favorite traditions,” said Stacie Callies, Executive Director of Westown Association. “Today, thousands of spectators will come to our downtown neighborhood and be Irish for a day as we celebrate our city’s rich Irish history.”
The fun doesn’t stop there! After the Parade, the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin hosts their annual Shamrock Club Post-Parade Party at the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center, located at 2133 W. Wisconsin Ave. from 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $25 for a family pass, and children under 12 are free. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. See more information at saintpatricksparade.org.
This family-friendly event features a lively afternoon of Irish entertainment, music and culture. Enjoy performances from local Irish dance groups, listen to traditional Irish music, participate in a 50/50 raffle and experience the special traditions of Ireland right in downtown Milwaukee. It’s the most Irish thing you can do in Milwaukee!
“The Post-Parade Party is the perfect way to cap off your St. Patrick’s Day festivities,” says Molly Carroll, Co-Coordinator of the event. “It’s a chance to celebrate Irish heritage, connect with the community and experience the joy and camaraderie that this holiday embodies.”
The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin is committed to promoting and preserving Irish culture, and the Post-Parade Party is a testament to that commitment. The event not only showcases the vibrancy of Irish traditions but also supports the local Milwaukee Irish community.
“We’re incredibly excited to host this event and share the richness of Irish culture with everyone,” says Ashling Ivers, Co-Coordinator of the event. “It’s going to be an unforgettable day filled with music, dance and the true spirit of Ireland.”
