St. Ann Center Hosts Hybrid Gala
Guests to celebrate in person in Deer District and virtually.
St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care will host its 17th Annual Dream Together Gala on Friday, Aug. 13. A hybrid event, the Gala will be held in a brand-new venue—Gather at Deer District, 333 W. Juneau Ave. Guests also have the option of attending the event virtually online.
“This year’s Gala will be a celebration of our faith and perseverance through the many months of the pandemic—and of a new beginning,” said Sr. Edna Lonergan, OSF, president of St. Ann Center.
The Gala begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour in the 6,000 square feet ultra-modern venue, opening to an outdoor balcony overlooking Fiserv Forum and the plaza. The evening features live and silent auctions and dinner catered by Levy Restaurants. Showcased in the auctions are a week’s stay in an Arizona condo with free golf, Green Bay Packers tickets and an evening on the town, including dinner for four at the Wisconsin Club.
Donations of live and silent auction items for the Gala are also welcomed.
New this year, the Gala will feature a livestreamed program, plus special content for guests who attend the event virtually, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The general public will also have a chance to bid on auction items online, beginning Aug. 9. Information on the online auction site can be found at stanncenter.org/gala.
The Gala will also honor St. Ann Center supporters, the Care Champions who make its services possible. From whirlpool baths, physical and occupational therapy to art and music therapy, adult day services promote independence and a sense of purpose. Youngsters in St. Ann Center’s early childhood education program learn to respect and appreciate the adult clients as they join them for activities on a regular basis.
The event will also spotlight the growth of St. Ann Center, from the opening of its Stein Campus, 2801 E. Morgan Ave., in 1999, to its replication in 2015, when the Bucyrus Campus opened at 2450 W. North Ave. The second campus has helped to revitalize its neighborhood, while bringing jobs to residents on Milwaukee’s near north side.
St. Ann Center would like to thank Bader Philanthropies, Maggie Cary, the Friends of Florence Nevins and all the generous sponsors who support the Gala and the continued care for all ages and abilities at both campuses.
