Skylar Forbes Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Marquette University women’s basketball sophomore forward Skylar Forbes was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.

Forbes had a career-high 18 points and eight rebounds in a 92-37 win over Illinois Springfield on Monday. She followed that up with 15 points, five rebounds, three blocks and two steals in Marquette’s 83-50 win over IU Indy on Sunday.

The Markham, Ontario native had the best shooting week of her career, going 15-of-24 from the field at 62.5 percent.

This marks Forbes’ first weekly honor of her career.

Marquette returns to action this Friday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. CT at Rutgers in the Battle on the Banks in Piscataway, N.J.
