MADISON – State Sen. Kelda Roys announced that her campaign raised over $378K in the first three months — with more than 82% of the 1,277 donations coming from Wisconsinites. In fact, her campaign has donations from every state senate district.

Roys reported having more than $335K on hand. Roys has long eschewed corporate PAC money, and does not accept money from the crypto industry.

“Every day, Kelda Roys is inspiring Wisconsinites with her vision for a Wisconsin where everyone has the freedom to thrive,” said campaign manager Jasper Bernstein. “She has a tireless work ethic, working on this campaign as she has for nearly 25 years: to build Democratic power throughout Wisconsin. Kelda’s campaign is funded by grassroots donors from every corner of the state. With our disciplined financial management and a committed Wisconsin donor base that is growing every day, Kelda will have the resources necessary to win the primary on August 11.”

Over the past three months, Sen. Roys has been traveling the state to connect with voters and talk about her plans to raise wages, lower costs, and ensure that everyone has the freedom to thrive. From Ladysmith to Ashland, Marinette to Racine, and Trempealeau to Appleton, Sen. Roys heard people concerned about the rising costs of health care, utilities, and property taxes.

Roys’ plans include raising the minimum wage and restoring collective bargaining rights; lowering costs on the big-ticket items of housing, health care, utilities, and child care; and fighting to protect our freedoms even as they are under attack from the Republican regime. Roys has called for universal early childhood education, fully funding public schools and ending the voucher scheme, and fostering growth for small businesses and family farms.
