Senate Democrats Kickoff Affordable Wisconsin Tour At Necedah Cranberry Farm
NECEDAH, WI – Senate Democrats kicked off their Affordable Wisconsin Tour today in Necedah, Wisconsin at Cranberry Creek. Senators Dianne Hesselbein, Sarah Keyeski, Brad Pfaff, and Jodi Habush Sinykin toured the farm and heard from the owners on the struggles farmers across our state are facing.
Today’s tour of the Cranberry farm is to highlight the struggles farmers are facing at the hands of the Trump administration and Wisconsin Republicans. As the cost of living across our state increases, tariffs and inaction from Republican lawmakers are driving down the profit margins of the country’s leading cranberry growing state.
Senator Dianne Hesselbein made the following comment on today’s visit to Cranberry Creek:
“We were thrilled to tour Cranberry Creek and hear from some of Wisconsin’s invaluable cranberry growers today, as we kicked off our Affordable Wisconsin tour. Whether it’s here in Necedah, up in Green Bay, or in Milwaukee every Wisconsinite is struggling with rising costs and the Republican majority has failed to address these issues for far too long. That is why Senate Democrats are committed to traveling our great state, to hear from our constituents on the struggles they are facing, and to share our vision of a more affordable and more accessible Wisconsin. When we win a majority in 2026 we will be leading the fight to lower the cost of living across The Badger State.”
Senator Sarah Keyeski made the following comment on the struggles facing Wisconsin farmers :
