Sean Duffy Tells CNN George Soros Is Rigging Voting Machines
‘Bizarre’ rant by Trump surrogate caps off wild interview that includes conspiracy theories, fraudulent claims against Wisconsin voters.

MADISON, Wis. — Donald Trump surrogate U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy (R-The Real World) has joined his party’s presidential nominee in claiming his candidate’s lack of support is the result of rigged elections. On Wolf Blitzer’s “Situation Room” late last week, Duffy offered an unhinged conspiracy theory, claiming George Soros was rigging voting machines.
“Someone needs to shut off Sean Duffy’s access to the internet until he stops spending all his time on alt-right conspiracy websites,” said Scot Ross, One Wisconsin Now Executive Director. “Sean Duffy may have gotten his experience on ‘The Real World,’ but he is currently living in his own world.”
On Thursday’s “Situation Room,” Duffy was being questioned by host Wolf Blitzer about why fellow Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan wasn’t joining Duffy in non-stop campaigning on behalf of Trump, the racist, sexual predator leading the Republicans ticket. During the interview, Blitzer pointed out a recent tweet from Trump, when Duffy responded:
“…we heard the (sic) one of George Soros’ companies has provided some of the machines for some of these states. And, obviously, Mr. Soros leans left. I haven’t personally verified that yet.”
Duffy’s “bizarre” rant comes after early voting in Wisconsin has been underway for over a month in some municipalities, due to One Wisconsin Institute’s successful lawsuit overturning an array of unconstitutional laws passed by Duffy’s Republican allies in the Wisconsin state legislature.
“Donald Trump is a misogynist, racist, sexual predator and that is why Republican elected officials like Paul Ryan and Ron Johnson are playing a cowardly game of wink and nod with his campaign,” said Ross. “If Sean Duffy thinks ‘George Soros voting machines’ are why Donald Trump’s campaign is failing, he probably believes that we faked the moon landing and that 9/11 was an inside job.”
