Saturday: Neighbors invited to take part in two 1st District cleanup events
Alderwoman Andrea M. Pratt is encouraging neighbors to join forces TOMORROW – Saturday, May 11 – for TWO neighborhood and community cleanup events in the 1st Aldermanic District.
A second cleanup event – coordinated by the Rufus King Community Association and Alderwoman Pratt – will commence at 11 a.m. starting at 2500 W. Cornell St. Volunteers completing the cleanup will be treated to a free lunch provided by Select Auto Parts and Sales.
Alderwoman Pratt said volunteers will feel good about helping to beautify the 1st District and their community.
“Cleaning up our streets and public spaces together gives us a sense of empowerment and knowing that you stepped up to do something positive for the community,” she said. “Please grab a few neighbors and join us tomorrow for one or both of these great cleanup events.”
