MILWAUKEE – October 25, 2017 – In its 51st year, SafeHouse Milwaukee continues to captivate spies across the world. Control, the mysterious entity tasked with establishing and maintaining the Safehouse Restaurants, announced today that SafeHouse Milwaukee will commemorate the restaurant’s 51st anniversary with a top-secret party November 1, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Since first opening as a haven for spies coming in from the cold in 1966, The SafeHouse has covertly operated in Milwaukee under the alias, International Exports Ltd., and has become the premier refuge for the world’s undercover elite visiting Milwaukee. In February 2017, Control made the decision to enact “Operation Chi-Town” – opening a second covert location in downtown Chicago. SafeHouse Chicago has been recognized for the city’s “Best Burger” by Chicago Magazine and was recognized with the Diner’s Choice Award in 2017 by OpenTable.

To celebrate its 51st anniversary, SafeHouse Milwaukee will host a top-secret party for public agents November 1 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. During the festivities, agents will enjoy:

  • Free appetizers, such as fried C4 cheese curds, spy sliders and nachos camp Stanley
  • Spycialty drinks ($7)
  • Happy Hour pricing all night long
  • Raffle prizes for selected agents, including a night at the iconic Pfister Hotel or Hilton Milwaukee City Center, or $50 gift cards to Mason Street Grill, Miller Time Pub & Grill, SafeHouse Milwaukee or SafeHouse Chicago.

Intel has it that there is no cover charge or RSVP needed, as well.

“Few restaurants last 50 years, let alone more than 50 years. But, SafeHouse Milwaukee continues to stand as a testament of our love and appreciation for spies and covert activities throughout history,” said Agent Blonde (a.k.a. Peggy Williams-Smith) senior vice president of SafeHouse Restaurants, via coded message. “Join us to celebrate another 50 years of clandestine capering and furtive feasting. And, don’t forget, you need a password!”
