About ROOTED MKE CHILDREN’S BOOKSTORE & LITERACY EXPLORATION
Rooted MKE seeks to provide BIPOC youth a reflection of themselves through our curated selection of titles. We aspire to be a community space where families gather, appreciate shared experiences centered around literacy, and nurture Milwaukee’s youth in a safe, inclusive space. Located at 5312 W Vliet St in Milwaukee’s Washington Heights Neighborhood, Rooted MKE has recently put out a call to action asking for community support in visiting the store, purchasing books and attending events. This is the only BIPOC children’s bookstore in the state and the support of sales is imperative.
