Ron Johnson Once Again Votes Against Debating Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, Delivering Another Blow To Wisconsin Workers and Small Businesses
Madison, Wis. — Today, Senator Ron Johnson voted against the bipartisan infrastructure bill, once again putting his self-serving agenda ahead of Wisconsin. The bill provides crucial investments to fix roads and bridges, ensures Wisconsinites have access to clean drinking water, expands broadband access particularly in rural areas, would create good jobs and supports small businesses. In response to Johnson’s vote, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Senate Communications Advisor Philip Shulman released the following statement:
The Senate’s bipartisan infrastructure bill builds on Gov. Evers’ historic investments in Wisconsin’s infrastructure. Between 2019 and 2020 alone there were repairs made to over 1,000 miles of highway and more than 800 bridges have repairs completed or underway.
