Residents, students of District 1 encouraged to apply for the Milwaukee Youth Council
Alderwoman Andrea M. Pratt is seeking interested students to fill the current District 1 vacancy on the City of Milwaukee Youth Council. The City of Milwaukee Youth Council is a powerful and diverse group of young leaders committed to making a difference in Milwaukee. Youth Council members represent young people in their aldermanic districts, meet with local leaders, and work with community groups to advocate for youth and youth-centric issues.

Milwaukee Youth Council members must live in the City of Milwaukee and be between the ages of 14-18, must be able to attend meetings every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at City Hall, participate in trainings, conferences and various discussions, and serve a full one-year term. City of Milwaukee Youth Council members will receive $25 per meeting attended. In addition, members receive refreshments/food for in-person meetings, and a pre-paid WisGo Card.
