"These committee appointments will allow Representative McGuire to be a voice for the issues that make a difference to the people of Kenosha."
MADISON – Today, Assembly Democratic Leader Representative Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) announced the committee appointments for Representative Tip McGuire (D-Kenosha). Rep. McGuire will serve as a member of the Committees on Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Community Development, Labor and Integrated Employment, State Affairs, and Ways and Means. Representative Hintz and Representative McGuire released the following statement on these appointments.
“I’m proud and thankful for the opportunity to represent the 64th Assembly District on these important committees. I look forward to working with my colleagues to build an economy that restores the middle class. Further, as a former prosecutor, I am excited to join the conversation on how to modernize our criminal justice system to ensure that it is smart, safe, and fair,” Rep. McGuire stated.
“These committee appointments will allow Representative McGuire to be a voice for the issues that make a difference to the people of Kenosha. His background in criminal justice will provide new and valuable insight to his colleagues on each of these committees,” said Rep. Hintz. “Much of the challenging work done in the legislature happens at the committee level. Rep. McGuire’s strong work ethic and community roots will serve him well in this capacity. I look forward to seeing all that Rep. McGuire is able to accomplish here in the Capitol and in his district.”
