Rep. Zamarripa Statement on Driver’s Cards for Undocumented Wisconsinites

MADISON – Today State Representative JoCasta Zamarripa (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement on Gov. Tony Evers including driver’s cards for undocumented Wisconsinites in his budget:

“This is a commonsense idea that has the support of farmers, businesses, law enforcement officials, faith-based organizations and civil rights groups. Allowing undocumented Wisconsinites to legally drive will make our roads safer, strengthen our economy and improve the lives of working families around the state. Thank you Governor Tony Evers for being on the right side of this important issue.”
