Rep. Shelia Stubbs Celebrates Victory for Fair Maps in Wisconsin

MADISON, WI – After the announcement of the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision ruling current legislative maps unconstitutional, Representative Shelia Stubbs (D-Madison) released the following statement:

“Yesterday, the Wisconsin Supreme Court found our state’s current legislative maps to be unconstitutional. The voters of Wisconsin have had their day in court and won. This decision marks the beginning of a fresh start for our state—one in which the values and priorities of all Wisconsinites will be fairly represented.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision is the first step toward a State Legislature that more accurately reflects the people it serves. This will be a major opportunity to build a democracy that is representative of all Wisconsin voices.”
