Rep. Hesselbein Supports Governor Evers’ Fair Maps Plan
"Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around."
Madison – Assembly Democrats strongly support Governor Tony Evers’ plan to move Wisconsin’s redistricting process to a fair, nonpartisan model. Representative Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) released the following statement to voice her support of the Governor’s plan:
“Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around. Nonpartisan redistricting is something that is long overdue and I’m glad Governor Evers is making this a priority in his budget. Republicans leaders have wasted taxpayer money on defending their extreme partisan gerrymandering of Wisconsin. I applaud Governor Evers’ commitment to ensure we have fair maps in Wisconsin.”
