MADISON– State Representative Evan Goyke (D-Milwaukee) today announced his candidacy for the position of Assembly Democratic Leader.

“Today I am announcing my candidacy for Assembly Democratic Leader.”

“In Wisconsin too many of our working class families are struggling to make ends meet; too many of our local public schools are crumbling; and too many citizens aren’t able to access affordable health care or other vital services that we all depend on. Assembly Democrats need new, bold ideas to address these issues.”

“If elected Leader, my priority will be a strategic unification of, and collaboration within, each and every member of our caucus.  Assembly Democrats must come together as a team and forge an agenda that inspires and uplifts people throughout all of Wisconsin.  We must be unafraid as we develop new ideas and policies to meet the challenges facing our communities and provide every Wisconsinite the opportunity to achieve the American dream.”

Representative Evan Goyke currently represents the 18th Assembly District in the City of Milwaukee and serves on the Assembly Committees on Criminal Justice, Judiciary, Veterans, Agriculture, and Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties.
