Rep. Fitzgerald Statement on Passage of FY25 Budget Resolution
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement in response to the passage of the FY25 Budget Resolution.
“House Republicans delivered on key promises to the American people by passing this Budget Resolution. We took decisive action towards our goals of extending the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts to support hardworking families, securing the border, and reducing inflation by cutting government spending,” said Congressman Fitzgerald. “Our budget achieves $1.5 trillion in mandatory savings over the next decade, restoring fiscal responsibility while advancing President Trump’s America First agenda.”

According to the non-partisan Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, if this bill passes, those who make more than $360,000 will have their taxes CUT. Those who make less than that will be paying MORE. This is crazy!!!!!
Why don’t the wealthy think they have to pay their fair share after they’ve benefitted from this country’s resources? Additionally, we should not be burdening our children with an additional $2.8 trillion deficit over the next ten years.
