Rep. Barca Appoints Jon Richards Interim Chief of Staff
Richards served in the legislature from 1999-2015
MADISON – Today Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) announced that he is appointing former Rep. Jon Richards as his interim chief of staff. Richards served in the legislature from 1999-2015, ran a statewide campaign as a candidate for attorney general and is now a partner in a private law firm in Milwaukee.
“Jon Richards has outstanding leadership skills and we are fortunate to bring him on as an interim chief of staff through the remainder of this floor period,” Rep. Barca said. “Assembly Democrats are focused on growing our economy and bringing back the middle class, and we look forward to working together to achieve these goals.”
Richards replaces George Aldrich, who will now serve as executive director of the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee.
