MADISON – Today, Representative-elect Angelina Cruz (D-Racine) was sworn in for the 2025-2026 legislative session for the Wisconsin State Legislature. A teacher, union organizer, and current union president, Rep. Angelina Cruz begins her first term in the Assembly. Following the swearing in, Rep. Cruz released the following statement:

“I am honored to have been sworn into office to represent Wisconsin’s 62nd Assembly District, and I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me by my neighbors and community. With this privilege granted to me, I promise to use my voice and power to advocate for the working people of Racine and Wisconsin as a whole.

As an educator, I have firsthand experience with meeting the needs of students and their families. Right now, Wisconsin is falling short of the promises we have made to our kids. However, this session, we have the opportunity to restore our great public education system. We can’t afford to wait any longer.”
