Remembering Sierra Guyton

Statement of Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II July 14, 2014

By - Jul 14th, 2014 01:42 pm

The recent rash of gun violence that has stricken our great city has taken yet another life. Yesterday, Sierra Guyton passed away as result of injuries sustained via that gun violence. As Alderman of the 15th District it is my responsibility and duty to put forth initiatives and legislation that can foster a safer community for our children and for us. This is and will continue to be the mission of our calling.

There will be a candlelight vigil along with a balloon release tonight at Clarke Street School to celebrate the life of Sierra Guyton and to bring awareness about gun violence. The event starts at 7:45 p.m. and all are welcome, and I hope to see you there.
