PPWI Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Ruling

By - Jun 13th, 2024 10:10 am

Madison, Wis. – Statement from Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin President and CEO Tanya Atkinson.

“Today’s ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court is a win for patients and access to abortion care. Mifepristone remains approved with no new restrictions and the legal status of abortion in Wisconsin remains unchanged. Patients can continue to receive abortion care at PPWI health centers in Milwaukee, Madison, and Sheboygan.

While today’s decision is the right one, we know that efforts to restrict and eliminate reproductive healthcare, including contraception, IVF, and abortion care, continue. PPWI remains committed to protecting and expanding access to this vital care in Wisconsin.”

For those needing care, appointments can be made at ppwi.org
