Milwaukee Film Festival fans can pick up the 2015 MFF program at WMSE’s free Backyard BBQ on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 4 to 11 p.m. at Cathedral Square Park. Film fans and their friends will enjoy an incredible lineup of music that includes: Jim Liban and The Joel Paterson Trio, Pill Hill, Devil Met Contention, Dirty Bourbon River Show and J.D. McPherson. Great films and great music go hand in hand, and this event serves as the perfect setting to launch the MFF’s Program Book.

MFF is one of the lead sponsors for this year’s WMSE Backyard BBQ.

“WMSE and the Milwaukee Film Festival have a long standing partnership.  One we are very proud of.  Their Sound Vision series truly brings some incredible music films that are as diverse as the music format at WMSE,” stated Station General Manager Tom Crawford.

Jonathan Jackson, Milwaukee Film artistic and executive director says, “We’re thankful for the continued support from WMSE for the 2015 Milwaukee Film Festival. WMSE’s Backyard BBQ is a great event for our Program Book Launch and those who listen know, my favorite radio program in Milwaukee is the Sunday Big Band Show with Dewey Gill!”

Visit wmse.org for more information about the WMSE Backyard BBQ and mkefilm.org to learn about the film festival.
