PEARLS for Teen Girls Named Catalyst Impact Partner by Stand Together Foundation
PEARLS for Teen Girls recognized for commitment to bottom-up empowerment, receives up to $200,000 in grants over the next two years to accelerate their impact and transform how society thinks about solving our biggest problems.
MILWAUKEE – (February 5, 2025) — Today, PEARLS for Teen Girls was selected to join Stand Together Foundation’s highly selective Catalyst Impact Grant Program to accelerate their impact and transform how society thinks about solving the greatest problems we face.
“At PEARLS, we have a variety of holistic programming efforts that work to make a positive difference in the lives of so many girls, and this grant is helping us do that,” said PEARLS President and CEO Dr. Tiffany Tardy.
PEARLS was identified and selected to participate in the Catalyst Impact Grant Program for their demonstrated commitment to bottom-up empowerment rather than top-down control to advance new and better approaches to the issues they are solving.
This grant is supporting PEARLS to continue meeting each girls unique needs, such as: further investment in professional development for in-house mentors and other key intergenerational staff members working directly with girls; strategic planning of the organization to maximize its impact; and vital updates to its curriculum with data-driven information to continue to empower and enrich the girls of today with life skills, social emotional skills, media literacy, goal setting and college and career opportunities.
“We are excited to welcome our newest cohort of Catalyst Impact Partners who are transforming how our country approaches the greatest challenges facing our communities — from chronic unemployment to addiction to homelessness to one-size-fits-all education systems that limit people’s potential,” said Amber Fogarty, managing director for Stand Together Foundation. “We look forward to working with these leading nonprofits committed to empowering individuals to reach their full potential through community-driven change.”
Impact Partners will be expected to:
- Build the movement toward empowerment. Reject one-size-fits-all solutions and pioneer a future driven by empowerment among philanthropists and nonprofits.
- Advance a vision and management culture that empowers rather than controls. Impact Partners will focus on leveraging Principle Based Management to empower their employees to empower the people they serve. Principle Based Management provides a holistic approach to making decisions, solving problems, and creating value for individuals and society.
- Model a “customer-first” impact vision. Impact Partners will participate in Stand Together Foundation’s pioneering measurement approach to understand impact through customer feedback.
