Pawtoberfest Brings Pets and Community Together for a Barkin’ Good Time

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025 – WEST ALLIS, WIS – The After Hours Rotary Club of West Allis, in partnership with the City of West Allis, is excited to host Pawtoberfest on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the West Allis Farmers Market (6501 W. National Ave.) from noon – 4 p.m. with pet-friendly activities, vendors, and non-profits. This event is free to attend.

The pet-focused event features around thirty pet and animal-themed vendors, over a fifteen local non-profits and rescue organizations, pet activities (such as a pet blessing, pet kiss-cam photobooth, costume contest, and pet caricatures), pet-themed raffle baskets, demonstrations from Milwaukee County Sheriff’s K9 Unit, live music from Kodachrome Kids from 1-3 p.m., food trucks (Choice Savory Kitchen, Lola’s Empanadas, Taqueria La Vecindad, Fruity Fusions, Pete’s Pops, Blue Badger, Rescued Roasters/ Knights Gourmet Popcorn), and craft beer (OPE! Brewing Co. and Perspective Brewing Co.).

Below is the schedule of events:

  • Noon – Opening Ceremonies
  • 12:15 p.m. – Pet blessing with Deacon Terry of St. Barnabas
  • 12:30 p.m. – Milwaukee County Sheriff’s K9 Unit demonstration
  • 1 p.m. – Interview and book reading with Rory the Frenchie and Heather Land
  • 2 p.m. – Pet fashion show for dogs and cats
  • 2:45 p.m. – Interview with WE Energies Ambassadog, Clara and Lauryn Eisbrenner
  • 3 p.m. – Interview with Dr. Michelle Stafford, an animal chiropractor
  • 3:30 p.m. – Raffle winners announced, and contest awards presented

Parking is available for free in the Farmers Market parking lot, on the surrounding streets, or in the Horace Mann Elementary School parking lot between 63rd and 64th Street on Lapham Avenue.
