Packers Legends Bring Podcast A-Game to Milwaukee’s Family Room, Torzala Brewing Company, as the Football Season Kicks-Off
LeRoy Butler and Gary Ellerson host and record their weekly “Leap 36” show at the women-and-minority-owned brewery at 2018 S. 1st Street on the city’s south side.
Milwaukee, WI, September 10, 2023 – Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and former Green Bay Packer LeRoy Butler and former Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger Gary Ellerson have a new podcast hosting-and-recording home at Torzala Brewing Company, which is a women-owned and minority-owned business located in the heart of Milwaukee’s south side.
With roots in and family ties to all corners of southeastern Wisconsin, including Waukesha, Franklin and Mukwonago, owners Tricia and Jeff Torzala, Jake Palubicki and Renee Martinez, and Brian Michalak produce and serve brews that reflect Milwaukee’s history as well as their own Polish and Mexican heritage while featuring ingredients sourced in Wisconsin.
The new partnership between Leap 36 and Torzala Brewing Company began in true “Smallwaukee” style: During a casual conversation, a Torzala customer mentioned he knew Ellerson after Jeff and Jake bemoaned the fact that they missed hearing Butler and Ellerson following a radio format change that took their show off the air.
“When LeRoy and Gary first came to Torzala Brewing Company to check out our space as a possible site for hosting and recording their podcast, we were all starstruck,” said Torzala Brewing Company Founder, Owner and Operations Director Tricia Torzala. “We are so honored and humbled that these two NFL greats chose to team up with us to give their show the grassroots, local vibe we all value.”
Each week, Butler and Ellerson record their Leap 36 podcast inside Torzala Brewing Company and give listeners their insider, expert take – often blended with humor – on the Green Bay Packers, the NFL and much more.
