Packers, Fleet Farm to Honor Veterans and Military Members for Salute to Service Month Throughout November
Fans invited to shop at Fleet Farm to help raise money for H.O.O.A.H. WI’s efforts to eliminate veteran and service member suicide
The Green Bay Packers and Fleet Farm are set to honor veterans and members of the military through the team’s annual “Salute to Service” initiative throughout November.
“We’re proud to once again join Fleet Farm in honoring our nation’s military members and veterans through our annual Salute to Service initiative,” said Packers President and CEO Ed Policy. “We’re grateful for the courage and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our nation, and we proudly recognize their commitment this November and beyond.”
Packers fans and shoppers can take part in the initiative at all Wisconsin Fleet Farm locations from Nov. 1-12 by rounding up their purchase to benefit H.O.O.A.H. WI. This nonprofit aims to eliminate suicide by proactively addressing the overall wellness of service members, veterans and their support systems. The Packers will match up to $10,000 of these donations to benefit H.O.O.A.H. WI’s programs, which provide veterans and service members with resources and assistance and create opportunities for them to connect.
As part of the organization’s Salute to Service efforts, Packers Give Back will hold Salute to Service Week, featuring daily events from Nov. 1-7 to honor those who have served.
The Monday Night Football contest against the Philadelphia Eagles will serve as the Packers’ Salute to Service game, presented by Fleet Farm. Players will wear and use special equipment that features the NFL Salute to Service camo-ribbon decal. The stadium will feature Salute to Service goal post wraps and pylon decals, and in-game features will include video shoutouts to those who are serving and recognition of veterans and their loved ones on the field. Fans coming to the game will receive a Salute to Service car flag.
