Action Alert from the Overpass Light Brigade

By - Jan 26th, 2016 12:56 pm

The State Legislature is ramming through a law that all but assures the privatization of our public waters. We are trying to give visibility to this issue, and are staging another action Tuesday, January 26th at 5:30 at Bradford Beach.

What we did Monday night in Madison has garnered enough response that the legislators moved the vote up to this Thursday, January 28th because they are worried that citizens will actually figure out what they are doing!

A vote on a bill that clears the way for the privatization of Wisconsin’s water has been moved up to Thursday because politicians have received considered blow back in the last 24 hours against it. Rather than listen to constituents, these legislators are trying to ram it through as soon as possible and with as little notice as possible. We won’t let them get away with it. Join us at 5:30 at Bradford Beach on Milwaukee’s Lakefront as we continue to bring visibility to this terrible legislation.
