Over 80% of WisGOP Farm Team Candidates Claim Primary Victories
MADISON, Wis. — The results are in — over 80% of WisGOP Farm Team candidates are advancing to the Spring General Election.
“I am grateful for all of the hard work our team of candidates, grassroots activists, and staff have done for these local races. Their work led to over 80% of local candidates succeeding in their primaries last night. With two major statewide races and a constitutional amendment on the ballot on April 1, we are looking to build on the success of the Farm Team Initiative to win races at the local level and boost candidates at the top of the ticket,” stated Chairman Brian Schimming.In November, the Republican Party of Wisconsin announced its fifth year of continuing the Farm Team Initiative.
Heading into the February Primary Election, the WisGOP Farm Team has:
- Trained over 200 candidates and activists to run and support campaigns
- Knocked thousands of doors
- Provided resources to local campaigns
