‘Outdoor Wisconsin’ Returns With a New Season and New Stories From the State’s Great Outdoors
MILWAUKEE; December 17, 2019 – As long as there are fish to catch, trails to hike, pollution to clean up, wildlife to observe and nature to conserve, Outdoor Wisconsin will bring these stories to viewers. The longest-running program on Milwaukee PBS premieres its 36th season on Milwaukee PBS 10.1 on Thursday, January 3 at 9:00 p.m. Beloved host Dan Small will continue to lead the adventures, as he has for all 36 seasons, from the very first episode.
“It’s hard to believe we’ve been exploring Wisconsin’s great outdoors for 35 years, but there’s so much more to see and do in the Badger State that we may do to 35 more,” said Dan Small, host of Outdoor Wisconsin. “I’m as excited about season 36 as I was about season one back in 1984. It’s been my great privilege to work with the outstanding team of professionals at Milwaukee PBS to help bring our viewers a wide array of outdoor adventures, and I hope they enjoy watching our new season as much as we have enjoyed putting it together.”
At the 2019 Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers Conference, Outdoor Wisconsin received five AGLOW Awards for Excellence. Also in June 2019, Small was awarded the 2019 Excellence in Craft Award by the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
Outdoor Wisconsin airs every Thursday on Milwaukee PBS 10.1 at 9:00 p.m.
